News of the Neighborhood…

Dear Members

As we rapidly approach the end of summer—hard to believe how quickly it’s gone—I hope this message finds you well and that you’ve been enjoying the season. As mentioned in our previous newsletter, several important matters remain under consideration. One such item is the proposal to install Private Property signage on our streets. This initiative is aimed at enhancing security for our members and protecting our property. The proposal is currently under review by the Town of Stratford.

Many of you may have seen recent news reports regarding Success Village, which is facing serious financial and legal challenges due to a failure by its board to maintain buildings and address long-term maintenance needs. Sadly, this has negatively impacted both the residents and their properties. Please be assured that our Board remains fully committed to upholding all of its fiduciary responsibilities.

Budget season is always a challenging time for the Board. It requires making difficult decisions that balance the current needs of our buildings with long-term planning, all while maintaining a high quality of life for our residents. We are a strong corporation and a united community. I, along with the entire Board, remain dedicated to doing everything in our power to preserve and strengthen what makes Stonybrook a great place to live.

Warm regards,
Mary Sajda, President
